Givenchy Sunglasses set the Trend

Wednesday, February 25th, 2009

Key to the 2009 Givenchy sunglass collection is the trend driven selection of bold and bright colour blocking frames. Accessorise in this seasons dominant orange, green, black and white, choosing from the heavily inspired Riccardo Tisci SGV654 or the equally trend driven SGV657 vintage frame.

New nudes make a subtle yet highly central presence in the 2009 collection in soft beige, cream and coffee. The success of the neutral palette is its ability to complement and not dominate.  Moreover the shades simplicity allows Givenchy to experiment in form and structure without over compromising the beauty of the new nude aesthetic.

A further key trend that speaks volumes from within the collection is Safari. The exotic nature of the many Safari driven sunglass models reveals the Givenchy brands adventurous side. A focus on travel, freedom, and liberation of thought spring to mind in the eclectic range of eccentric printed frames.

The 2009 Collection is heavily influenced by the iconic 70’s and 80’s and boasts a mixture of Classic models and latest catwalk trends for SS ’09 – ‘Geek Chic’  meets ‘Clark Kent’.

Music aficionados are definitely loving the new styles, the 2009 Collection popular with Nikki Beach’s Saxophonist Nick Studer and DJIronik. Model S1613 is proving a favourite.

The Guru Girls are wrapping up warm with Love from Australia – the luxury sheepskin boot boosting both comfort and enviable style credibility!

As Grazia perfectly puts it these cosy boots have “some serious fashion credentials.”

Popular favourites include the Cozi and Jezebel – my very own pair of Jezebel shorties being my new best friend!

Further fantastic models include the Classic long and Classic shorties, favourites of Jade Parfitt as seen on Vogue.com, and also the trend driven Western boots – often seen on the Pussycat Dolls.

As well as appearing on The Brand Guru Press Room you can view the collection on the official LFA website www.lovefromaustralia.co.uk or buy a pair on www.net-a-porter.com
