Tuesday, September 21st, 2010Eek here, Eek there… Eek everywhere!

Judging by the Jewellery Collection we knew the Eek mouse would be playing a pivotal part in Giles’ S/S 2011 Ready-To-Wear Collection as well as a rainbow of colours and 70’s/80’s classic cartoonish characters.
The runway was filled with supermodels and celebrities such as Kelly Brook, Abbey Clancy, Agyness Deyn, Karolina Kurkova, and Jessica Stam amongst others.
The Copper, the sunshine Gold and the pink, blue, green and yellow from the fun Jewellery line were all ingrained in the detailed collection.
We were really looking forward to seeing the Catwalk Show and once more Giles didn’t fail to give us the fun and quirky side of Fashion that we all love him for.
Giles Deacon Catwalk Show tonight…Watch this space!
Monday, September 20th, 2010Giles Deacon’s S/S 2011 Collection will be showcasing his Collection tonight at London Fashion Week.
We had the privilege to have a sneak preview of his inspirations for the season with his Jewellery Collection which has been designed in synergy with his Ready-To-Wear. Old ideas have been brought into it such as: the Eek Mouse and the little Dino’s.
However, very unusual shapes such as the Wingnut and the Paperclip are key features in Giles’ fun and imaginative Jewellery line. The standard idea of a paperclip has been transformed into stunning works of art using Swarovski crystals alongside polished and brushed gold’s and copper pinks.
We can’t wait to see them on the Catwalk!!

Internship Opportunities with The Brand Guru
Wednesday, September 15th, 2010
Rebecca says: “I have recently graduated with a Media Studies BA Honours degree from Portsmouth University in June 2010. I have had a keen interest in fashion for many years and have always wanted to become involved within the fashion industry. I have used what I have learnt from my studies and have been able to apply them to my recent internship with The Brand Guru. My routine differs from day to day, therefore keeping me very interested in my work. I have worked in areas in the company where I have the opportunity to generate more coverage for our clients in magazines such as Vogue, Cosmopolitan and Grazia. I speak to fashion editors, journalists and stylists in order to gain this coverage and it is very rewarding when the coverage is achieved. I feel that a person has to be interested and enthusiastic about the fashion industry when deciding to become a part of it, including the role of being a Fashion PR.”
The Brand Guru has more internship opportunities, and we’d like to hear from you! E-mail: asktheguru@thebrandguru.eu
